Flowers in December? (Twice!)

Now I admit that it has been an unusually warm month. I’m not exactly sure what the actual statistics are, but I’m sure the average temp. for December has probably maxed out higher than at least the previous 5 years. Here is a headline from a “Weather.com” post:

“More Than 5,900 Daily Records Broken as Pre-Christmas Warm Wave Engulfs East…”

As a result, flowers and trees are in bloom. I hope this does not ruin them for spring, but since I’ve never seen this since we’ve lived out here (14 yrs.) I do not know what will happen. Here are some examples of things that are blooming in our yard and around the area:

December 11, 2015: A small bouquet of late-fall white flowers appears in front of Nuttah on my bedside table. This is not the best picture because I decided to take it THAT night, so was shooting in dim light without the flash.

And all of this is to possibly explain why, on December 11 and 18, there were flowers waiting for me when I got home. First, December 11: I came home to find on my bedside table a bouquet of 2 different white flowers, pictured here to the left. There was also a ceramic heart in the arrangement, and Bob’s special stone, in front of Nuttah. I put the tiny white flowers in water, and as of this writing, which is now 12/28, they still live in a cup on a shelf in our bathroom.

Then, on December 18th, Bob had a weird interaction with the laid-off Lao woman at work. She has not worked there since September when a major contract was lost, and her entire department was laid off. Yet she had her husband call Bob to relate a “vision” she had. She didn’t know what it meant; only that it was a vision of a “cross”. Bob had no other info, just that. I kind of forgot about it without any frame of reference.

But this was a Friday and we came home together, unlike the rest of the week, and I walked into my office area to park all my stuff to find a symbol of a “cross”, made out of fresh clover, on my keyboard. It is the Four Cardinal “points”, or directions. Or, given the date it appeared, I wonder if it might have something to do with the Winter Solstice, which would only be a few days away. Was this the symbol the Lao woman perceived? I sometimes wonder if Nuttah just finds it easier to communicate with her and that’s why messages sometimes go “through” her to get to Bob.
Bob insists that there is no clover growing in our yard right now, and I kind of have to agree, I have not seen any, despite all that spring growth I mentioned above. So WHERE did this clover come from? (and what does it mean?)
